To all my wonderful female readers out there;
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.
I hope you all got a nice something from somebody.
Me, I took the day off and spent it with my GF. I'd promised her weeks ago I'd spend the day with her, thinking it fell on a weekend. But having a day off on a Wednesday is just as good, makes the working week shorter. We didn't do much, rode the bike into town, had lunch at the Surf Kitchen. Went to see a movie, but there was nothing good on, so we just bummed around until it was time to go home. It was a good day. I hate Valentines day though.
I really am starting to dislike days like Christmas, Easter, Valentines day etc. The true value of such days has long been lost. All people care about, especially kids, is presents. The bigger the better. When I have children, I want to be able to teach them that Christmas, Easter etc is not so important. I would rather make their birthday the biggest day of the year. A time when only they get a present. At Christmas Easter etc every one gets a present. The meaning of it is lost.
I'd rather spend lots of money for birthday presents for one person, rather than too much money on presents for everyone.
Oh, by the way, this is my 100th posting, so Yippee!! Congrats to me. I thought I'd have given up long ago. But not yet!! Maybe I'll even make it to 200 posts!!
Take care all, Cheers
