Hey there. What a beautiful day it is today. And I'm stuck at work, still doing reports. oh well. I thought I'd post a few pics of places I've been, things I've seen etc. I have heaps, so I'll keep posting a few here and there.
Today my girlfriend wants to go see a movie. But she wants to see a Thai movie. I'm taking ear plugs and eye cover. They have no sense of humor, and their voices are very loud, because they have a tonal language, and when you watch a movie, it's like someone's sticking a hot iron rod in your ears.
Ok, the pictures, from top to bottom are,
Elephant rides, in Northern Thailand. i haven't done this yet, but will soon.
Bridge Over The River Kwae. Not bad, turned a bit too touristy though. Hey, did you know, that Kwae should be pronounced Kwae, as in Kway, and not Kwai, as in Kry. to pronounce it wrong means penis!!
Elephants shooting hoops. There's a place near here where they have elephants doing heaps of different things. This is one of them. Not bad either.
Crocodiles..... theres a croc park near home. Thousands of them. And they seem to have a few hundred in each enclosure. you get to feed em chooks and stuff. Fun to try to get them to snap at each others heads as they try to grab the falling chook.
This last picture is of the Golden Triangle. Where Thailand, Laos and Burma meet. there's a massive Night Bazzaar Market up there. Something my mother and Auntie Jenny would drool over. Thankfully there's one in Bangkok too. hey mum, did you know Bangkok has the largest open market in the world every Sat and Sun? I bet your making flight reservations right now!!
