Bangkok – Copenhagen
Well, sitting for nearly 12 hours in a small cramped seat is not the most exciting thing I have ever done. Not even close.
The plane left Bangkok just after midnight. I got to the new airport around 8ish, so I could look around. What a dive. The underground jail in the movie Fortress looks more inviting. Then in the line before me at check in was this fat dude wearing a fruit bowl on his head. My mum used to have these brown ‘wooden’ fruit bowls years ago, I reckon this was one of them. The sights you see in Bangkok sometimes when these druggo hippie morons are here….
One good thing about traveling with my boss is he has a gold card which enables him to sit in those fancy lounge sections at the airport. Free food, free beer, free wirless internet. Sweet
Anyways, we finally took off, and I was very tired, so I thought I’d have a nap first. Not gonna happen. I just couldn’t sleep. My boss, who does a lot of flying, goes straight to sleep. Lucky bugger
I watched 3 movies, You, Me and Dupree, not bad. Monster House, kids movie. Ok. And Ant bully. Kids movie, ok. They had other movies, but my mind wasn’t up to behaving over the age of 8. Hence the kids movies. Finally, 11 hours and 30 minutes into the flight, the seatbelt lights come on and we started our decent.
Before I left to go to the airport, I brought a nice business shirt from a retail shop in Pattaya. Only cost bout AUD$7. By the time I stepped off the plane in Copenhagen, Denmark, I had two buttons left. 4 buttons just seemed to fall off whenever I moved or breathed.
So I brought a new shirt at the airport here in Copenhagen for some ridiculous price. Maybe I can get work to re-imburse me??
Anyways, here I am sitting in the gold card lounge again, it’s 8 am here (6pm in Aus). We have a one hour wait til our connecting flight heads for France.
Til later
Cheers
