Not For The Faint Hearted

This morning I had an interesting start to my day. I went to leave my home to go to work. Down the alley in which I have to walk to get to the street where my car is parked, I seen a crowd of people standing around looking into the water underneath one of the houses. They were looking at a dead body my dear readers!!

Let me first explain how my house is situated. I live at the end of an old pier (or jetty), my house is about 2 metres above the ground. About 50 - 80 metres 'inland' is where the water meets the edge. Sometimes there is no water under my house, sometimes it's inches from the underside. Between me and the waters edge are 3 or 4 other houses.

What had happened was, overnight on one of the fishing boats, an argument had broken out, and someone decided they'd try to decapitate the other. What resulted was a massive injury to that person's shoulder. They must've pushed him overboard, because the body ended up floating underneath our houses and wedging somewhere in the structure pilons.

The person was Cambodian, most likely an illegal immigrant, so unless someone from the boat says something, no-one will ever know where the body came from or who did it.

I tried to look for the body, but couldn't see shit. I wanted to get a photo to post on here for y'all, but can't get a photo of what you can't see.

What really got me disturbed was all the men were sitting around not wanting to look, and the wives and children were all gawking under the houses trying to get a look. Freakish!!!
