MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hey Y'all. Merry Christmas. For Yesterday. I know I'm a day late, but I was busy yesterday being lazy.

So the last two weeks have almost been hell here in Thailand. The goddamn elections were up on Sunday the 23rd, and the stupid idiots that call them selves the government had it in their wisdom to ban alcohol. Last weekend it was from Friday 6pm until Sunday midnight, and that was just for the pre-election. The worst thing was there was little or no advertising.

I got home from work on the Friday, and thought bewdy, might nip down me local for a cold brew or 10. NOPE!! Bloody bar was shut at 6pm. And I couldn't get any alcohol for the entire weekend!! Bloody assholes!!

This weekend just gone, I knew it was going to be another dry spell, so I did stock up. Luckily it was only Sat 6pm until Sunday midight. I don't know where they get the idea banning alcohol would be good for the elections, us Farangs (westerners) aren't even allowed to vote, so why punish us? Also it must have been the two busiest weekends of the year, and all the alcohol was locked away. I cannot even begin to imagine what the monetry loss for this place was. Had to have been in the tens of millions of baht. Easy

So Christmas eve I did the usual - got drunk. Don't even remember getting home. Christmas day I just piss farted around the house doing nufin.

Today, I'm at work. We have our end of year stocktake to do. So I',m working while you lucky buggers are having holidays.
