Well, How Much Bad Luck Can A Guy Have?

Well, things are going from bad to worse!!! I couldn’t connect to the internet while waiting for my flight, so I went to the business office area and they couldn’t either. So I missed putting in my footy tips!! Damn.

Now, to make it worse, there’s a storm that has shut the airport down. So I’ve been sitting on this plane now for 2 hours, and we are 35th in line to take off when we are finally allowed to. My fellow workmate from Australia has 2 connecting flights on his way home, and he boarded his plane at 3.30. It’s 10 past 7 now. He’s been sitting there for ages as well.

I’m looking out my window, and all I can see is the other planes sitting there, and a bit of rain. So maybe the storm isn’t bad on the ground, but in the air. Scary thought hey?

I’m gonna go nuts shortly, because I have no movies to watch, my phone is flat so I cannot listen to anything, and no internet. Oh, and I think I left my book at the hotel, so nothing to read. I suppose I could try to sleep. Didn’t get much last night…

The worse thing is, it took the captain one hour just to tell us why we hadn’t moved. So we have no indication of how long we could be sitting here for. Hang on, I either just heard a plane taking off, or thunder. Hopefully a plane taking off. Yes, I think I can see some action down on the ground. How long does it take 34 planes to take off? No, 33 if I just heard one. 1 hour maybe? No, surely 5 minutes between take off minimum, that’s bloody 2 and a bit hours. Shit.

Anyways, I gotta go stretch some legs. I’ll catch y’all later

YES!!!! Airport is OPEN!!! We are up to 27th spot, and the planes next to us are moving. WOOHOO!!!

I got excited way too fast. It’s quarter past 9, and we haven’t moved yet. About 20 minutes ago we were up to 8th spot for take off. So I guess before 10pm hopefully we will leave. Gee, we will probably leave at the time I was supposed to land (10.20pm).

Curse me missing the morning flight!! I’ll be more bloody careful to set my alarm next time.
