Rocky & his wig.......

Most nights Rocky or Missie or both will end up behind Kae's head on the pillow. They love sleeping here for some reason. They never sleep near my head. Maybe Kae's hair smells better??
Anyway, one morning I see Rocky up there, so I moved some of Kae's hair over Rocky's head and took a photo. Looks pretty cool.....

ROCKY'S BALLS

Last wednesday before we flew to Phuket, we had to drop the dogs off at the vets. The vet also has a 'Pet Hotel'. So we decided to have Rocky spayed. For the layman, we had his nuts cut off. Here are the pics, I left out the actual operation, as it got quite 'untasteful'!!

I have a weird fascination with operations, ever since my injury, I can handle just about anything. But to sit there and watch my little man have this OP was quite saddening, especially when he woke up in the middle of the OP. The first photo here explains it all, this is when they gave him the 'sleep' needle, and he was slowly going to sleep. Check out the poor buggers eyes looking at me......

One Of The Coolest Dog Accessories!!

I've been eyeing off this swim jacket for Rocky for ages. I finally brought it, and how cool is it? Rocky can swim, but after about 5 metres, his ass sinks and he basically is swimming up and down, not anywhere. Not good if he suddenly gets tired (maybe this could be somehting that happened with Richsie?).

Anyways, check the photos out. I reckon it looks awesome, and now I feel confident whenever Rocky is in the water. Later today I'm heading down the beahc to test it out down there. I'll try to get photos and show you

Check this Smarty Pants out...

Yesterday we went down the beach for a few hours, a few drinks and a feed. Where we sat there were 3 chairs, but only me and my girlfriend. I was about to ask someone to take the extra chair away when Rocky got in it and claimed it for himself.

Then Kae brought his water bowl up to him for a drink, and he sat his front feet in it for several minutes before relaxing in his chair again. Little bugger. Then he dug a small hole in the sand and laid down, so I preceded to bury him. He didn't move. he was loving the attention.

Then he went for a swim, looked like a drowned rat, but had an absolute blast. We'll try to go down every Sunday as it is a great way to pass the day. And the best thing is AUD$25 gets you 4 plates of food (Fried Rice, Mini Chicken Drumsticks, Spicy Salad with Squid, and Som Tum), plus I had 6 beers. Pretty cheap.

Latest Addition to the Maloney Family

Yesterday me and my partner were sitting on the beach in Bang Saen, enjoying the sun and sand, and a few quiet beers. We were discussing our future purchase of a 'girlfriend' for Rocky, our Pug. We have this plan to get him another dog to play with so he's ot so reliant on us. Also, in the future they can have some babies and we can make some money off him.

Where we were was only 5 minutes from a massive market, so we decided to go and have a look for something to do. Well, we ended up moving our plan forward. We got a female Pug last night, and here are some of the first pictures of her. We've called her Richsie. Well, that's how my partner wants to spell her name, but I pronounce it Rissie. Anyways, Rocky's been having a lot of fun with her already, they look good together hey?

A good thing? Or a bad thing?

Something happened this morning, that at first amazed me, but then after some thought I started to think, maybe it wasn’t a good thing.

Every morning I take Rocky for a walk down the street and backi, so he can do his pee pee’s and poo poo’s. Usually around 6.45am we’ll head off.

On weekends, when I like to try and sleep in, he will usually find a way to wake me around 7 or 8, and therefore I gotta take him for a walk or else he’ll pee on the floor, or the bed. So even if I’ve had a late night, I end up getting up early.

So what happened this morning? Well, I keep my house keys separate from my vcar keys, and I keep them on my Hawks lanyard (a lanyard is that strappy thing people use for their mobile phones and hang them around their necks). So the moment I grab my keys, Rocky thinks we’re going outside for a walk or a drive/ride. He starts to get a little excited (reminds me a little of mum and dad’s dogs that go ballistic whenever someone says ‘walk’).

So here I am this morning lying in bed, pretty much just enjoying the sleep, and I feel Rocky climb onto the bed. I open my eyes to see what the little bugger was doing, and here he is sitting looking at me, with my house keys in his mouth. That’s right. My bedside table is quite low, and that’s where I leave my keys when I’m in bed. The little shit reached up, grabbed my keys, and then woke me up.

I don’t think there is anything else he could have done to get the message across loud and clear!!! So I took him for a walk, and the moment we were out the gate, he goes to the toilet. Smart ass little bugger he is.

Ok, time for some footy, Geelong vs Lions. Should be a good match.
