GO THE MIGHTY HAWKS

Bring on Saturday. I couldn't care less about this week at work. If the world were to go into recession, who gives a shit. BRING ON THE FOOTY.......

I hope the game is close throughout and that we get up by 6 points again.. hee hee

I'm just so freaking nervous. I don't know what to do all week. Can't wait. Wish I had a spare $1500 than I'd buy a ticket and fly home to watch, but I'm pretty sure the place is sold out already. Bloody locals

Anyways, for those that want Geelong to win - Bugger off, for those that would love to see the Hawks get up, thankyou

We're A Happy team at Hawthorn, We're the mighty fighting Hawks..............

WE'RE A HAPPY TEAM AT HAWTHORN....

So my boys got up. Yes it was 4 days ago. I've been basking in the glory. I'm allowed. Such an easy win. I don't even know why we are bothering with the next 2 weeks. I'd say let Hawks and Geleong just play off for the cup. Obviously it will be our 10th cup win come end of September.

How good is the GF gonna be? I can't wait. I've booked my couch, slab of beer, esky and some ice for the game. Just gotta wait 3 freaking weeks for it now.

Anyways, I'm at work, gotta roll, chat to you again later

299 Down, 1 To Go....

Hey there. Wow, 1 blog to go and I've done 300!!! I'm still trying to find something very good to put on here for it.

My weekend was ok. What a game on Friday night hey?? Awesome. Geelong are so lucky that we kicked so shit. Next time around....

On Saturday me and a few other Aussies living here went out to Horseshoe Point, to watch a local game of AFL. Yes, here in Thailand. The Thailand Tigers played the Hong Kong Dragons. And to be truthful, the quality was very good. Normally Thailand Tigers play in bangkok, and usually just against each other, and then every now and then they have international games against the other Asian countries. See the pics here.

This Friday, Hawks vs the Pies. Wow, what an easy win that'll be!!! LOL.

Take care guys, chat later

Funny Football Sendup

This is very good. I don't know if you guys still living in Australia have seen this, but it's bloody awesome. Take a look

Go The Hawks!!!

Yah, we won. Was a pretty lack lustre game, but we still came out 57 points on top. not bad going.

I got drunk, nothing new there. Was a good night. Tonight I'm just relaxing at home. Kae has gone to visit her mother, and some cousins have come into town from way out whoop whoop.

So not much to do tonight, might put a dvd on, and fall asleep onthe couch....

Well Done To The Doggies....

So Hawks finally got beat. Didn't think I'd ever be saying that. What I mean by that is I never thought we'd be in such a position to 'finally be beat'. We've done quite well over the last few weeks. Has been a breath of fresh air.

I think 2008 is the return of awesome football. There has been some cracker games, and some interesting results. The Doggies are doing well, as are the Hawks and Geelong. And also those bastards Collingwood, awesome last 2 games from them.

So the last game of the year is open to just about anyone at this stage. Yes, there are 4 definate good teams, but a few suprising ones too. How good is it to see the top 4 goal kickers only come from 2 teams. Hawks have Buddy and Roughhead and Lions have Brown and Bradshaw. Bloody awesome.

Anyways, gotta roll, it's just started to rain here, so I am sure my internet will drop out, so gotta save this.

Have fun, and I'll shortly put some pics on here...........

HAWKS - 9 wins, ZERO losses!!!

Wow. What can I say. I don't want to get ahead of myself, or the team to get ahead of themselves, but oh my god.

2 years ago we won 5 games and were happy. Last year we strove for 9, but won 13. This year, we've gone 9 without a loss. Bit hard not to get ahead of yourself when you keep winning. And it makes it a little more exciting with Geelong losing yesterday.

Melbourne took it to us today. In honour of Neitzy, they did well, much better than the pathetic crowd that turned up. 20, 000 roughly turned up. Not just for Melbourne supporters. Hawks have almost 40, 000 members, where were all they? Well, I was over here in Thailand. So I'm excused. Where's the other 39, 999 members??

I am saving my cash for the GF now. Just in case Hawks get in, I will fly back to Australia for the match. gonna be expensive, but as long as I am here in Thailand, what other choice do I have to watch my team win a premiership??

Boy am I getting excited now. First time ever Hawkthorn have won the first 9 games of a year. We have a great history of winning Grand Finals, and with todays game, we can suddenly get injuries and crash and burn, but boy, what a year to come......

I can't wait.... bring it on....

Go The Kiewa Hawks Too!!!

So the boys at my old club are doing quite well this year too. Kiewa Sandy Creek That is. The Seniors are 2nd on the ladder, behind Mitta. The Reserves are 4th, behind Mitta, Yackandandah and Barnawartha.

Bloody Mitta. I think the seniors have won 4 premierships in a row or something like that. Assholes. Never did like Mitta, but loved playing against them. Loved beating them too, which wasn't that often, but still sweet.

When I went back to Australia for my holidays, I went out to watch a game, Kiewa vs Yackandandah. Both grades had a win, the seniors had an awesome win. Was a good day, and I got quite pissed from what I remember(or from what I don't!!)

Anyways, keep up the good work boys, and I hope to catch another game soon. But probably not until 2009 when I am back in the country.

To Fim and the boys - Good luck for the second flag in as many years - Go Hawks!!!

Gee The Hawks Aren't Bad Are they?

What a game. After the first quarter I was getting a bit worried. Port has the last few wins against us, especially down in Tassie. I think their record there was better than ours.

It wasn't until last 10 mins of the 3rd quarter that we really looked like winning. Everytime we'd kick a few goals, they replied as well. It really did look like our 1st quarter nap was going to do us over. But leave it to Buddy and Roughie to get us back in front.

Last quarter was very tight, and eventually we won. Again. That's 8 in a row. Only one other team has done that as well, Geelong. Well, not counting the draw, the Doggies are doing well too.

I'm glad we don't play Geelong until round 17. I mean, I'm not worried about losing against them, we've beaten them the last 3 times we've played. It will just give us more time to analyse them, and hopefully both teams get that far without a loss. What a cracker that will be hey?

Anyways, I'm bored shitless today. Nothing to do. Tomorrow is yet another bloody public holiday. Why can't we have these holidays when I get my salary? We always seem to have them mid month.

Ok, have fun, chat to you all later

Footy Tips - Round 2

Sorry I'm late putting these in, but here they are anyways;

Pies over Lions
Dogs over Demons
Crows over Eagles
Saints over Blues
Hawks over Freo
Swans over Port (Swans style will choke all aspects, they'll win in a shitty match)
Cats over Bombers (I have a feeling Bombers could stand up agin.)
Tigers over Roos (Brave tip, but if Tigers are gonna do something, this will be it....)

Enjoy your weekend guys, I'm listening to Hawks vs Freo, and Hawks are up by 26. Great....

BRING ON THE FOOTY!!!!

I don't think I have ever been so damn keen on the AFL footy season to begin.

When I first started getting into footy, it was in the late 80's. I hated footy before that. But when I finally chose my current team, after first choosing the bulldogs, and then Sydney, I settle on Hawthorn, after they won the 89 grand final. I am sure that's why I picked them. My mate went for Geelong, hawks beat them, and I decided to go for the Hawks.

Apart from 1991, we haven't had any real success. Last year, we went damn well, so this year, I am so excited. i know we won't go all the way, but I am sure we'll only be going up from here on in.

I actually listened to last nights Blues vs Tigers game, I am that desperate for the footy. But I cannot wait til Sunday arvo, when the Hawks take on the Demons. Hopefully we win with 4 of our main guys out.

SO, to begin the 2008 tipping, here are my tips for this weekend. I know I am one day late, but I picked the Blues last night, so it's ok. Plus who would tip over Geelong? Only dickheads from SA!!! Here they are......

Blues over Tigers (damn that FEV!!)
Cats over Port (No-one surely would pick Port)
Pies over Freo
Saints over Swans
Eagles over Lions
Crows over Dogs
HAWKS over Demons
Bombers over Roos

So there you have it. Everyone have a good weekend, and I'll chat to y'all later

Happy Fingers Day To Me...

Well, once again, St Patricks Day is here. For me, it's Fingers Day. Today is officially 8 years since I squashed my fingers off.

Wow, 8 years. It's so strange to be sitting here, and be 100% totally adjusted. In my first year, I was so scared I'd never get used to not having fingers. Now, I can't imagine myself with two full hands. Weird

Anyway, I had an ok weekend. Formula One is back, and what a great race. Not so for Webber, but some awesome accidents. I loved Timo Glocks accident. Cool.

Next weekend, AFL is back. And that, ladies and gentlemen, has me bursting at the seams...

Can't wait.....

What Is So Damn Exciting About NFL?

Well, for the first time in history, I watched an NFL match from go to whoa. And what a dissapointment. The last 5 mins (which took like 40 minutes to play) were the only good bits.

Apparently both teams were making history or some shit, but I've seen better games of lawn bowls.

Thats all I want to say about that

Bloody Football

I's taken me this long to recover and calm down to write about the schimozzle that was the game on Saturday.

My boys just didn't "Bring It". We lost. Year over.

I really have not much to write about it all, except I believe we had an exceptional year, and hopefully next year we can go one step better.

As for who's left, Geelong will flog Port in the GF. Nuff said

I'm out......

Bloody Pies

Oh, and while I'm at it, the bloody Pies beat Sydney tonight. Easily. Rocca kicked 6.

Next week, Collingwood will play a woeful Eagles, and we get the loser of the Roos and Cats game tomorrow.

Bloody Pies

3 Points - Oh My God!!!!!!!

I so feel as though I've been through hell and back over the last few hours.

I woke up at 6am today, excited at the prospect of my team still playing on while 8 other teams have a holiday. I just couldn't wait til 12.30pm (broadcast time for the game here). I knew the game was going to be on the internet long before I watched it.

The tension got to me around 11am, Iswitched on the computer, listened to the pre match commentary, and then 15 minutes of the first quarter.Once Adelaide had gotten 3 goals up, I switched the computer off, I didn't want to know we were gona be flogged.

After I started watching the game, we got back to within a few points, but every time we got close those bastards kicked away again. And then in the 2nd quarter when Hodgy and Bateman went off injured, we were down by 31, I decided to watch a DVD, it was over as far as I was concerned.

But 5 minbutes later my curiosity got the better of me, and lo and behold, Hodgy was back, and then soon so was Bateman. We were back.

Buddy Franklin. What can I not say about the guy? Effen incredible is all I can utter at the moment. I have watched the last 10 minutes about 5 times already. Just amazing. I want to go out and get blind rotten drunk, but it's a good thing my missus wont let me. I'm far to happy to be let loose upon the world right now.

So we won by 3 points, and the superstar kicked 7, including one with only a few seconds to go. My heart all through the last half was going nuts. My voice is a bit croaky from all the yelling, I'm sure my Thai neighbours think I'm crazy.

So the Hawks live to fight another day, and I'm happy with that. There's no place else I need to be right now.

Except for maybe at the bar.......

Bloody Swannies!!!!

So we're at the business end of the footy year, and why oh why did the swannies have to come to play today of all days????

They killed my team. I am so not impressed. Next week we have elimination final at telstra dome. We have home game so we should be at the G but no, Collingwood get it easy once again. Bastards.

I'm not saying anymore tonight until I get some beer......
