Since coming to Thailand

This was written over the weekend.......

Since coming to Thailand, I have read a few books on the Thai culture, Nightlife, etc etc.

These books are very interesting. Some of them are a must read for first time visitors. An Aussie called Duncan Stern has written some rippers, and I will be taking a few home with me for the folks back there to read.

These books don’t paint a bad picture about Thailand, but they do explain the darker side to it, and of course, if you’re stupid enough, you’ll end up finding out about this darker side.

One ‘stereotype’ that the majority of the rest of the world has is that Thailand is just some sex haven for the wicked, sick and demented. And that most of the females there are money hungry whores who’ll cling onto the first foreigner that gets a hard on.

Yes, this is true in some aspect. But the amazing thing is, so many foreigners come here and are immediately ‘pussy struck’, and throw all common sense out the window. Why? I haven’t worked that out just yet. But I think I can understand it. Now on the defense of the Thai ‘bar girl’, if you were only earning 100 Aussie bucks a month, you’d be fucking whatever moved yourself.

There are a lot of girls here that know the game, and therefore know how to rip some drunk unsuspecting foreigner off. But do you blame her? She has two choices in life. Spend her entire life earning around 80 Aussie bucks a week(if she’s lucky) working the old rice farm, or working in a strip bar earning more than that just to dance and show a few horny drunks her tits. If they’re lucky, they’ll get to go with a guy. They only have to go with a guy 3 times and they’ve earnt more than their monthly pay!!

And sometimes some stupid fool will over pay for her services. If she is lucky enough to save some money to help her parents out, then her family rises up the social ladder in their community (here in Thailand it doesn’t matter how you got rich, just that you are).

I’m not justifying what these girls do, but in a third world country, I have to give them credit for putting up with all those sweaty overweight old men that ogle and grope and god knows what else. I've been in a few bars and sometimes the worst sights aren't the badly dressed lady boys, but the old fat Englishman sitting with one or two young girls on his lap groping them. Dirty Old Bastard.
