Los Angeles - Mexico

Hey guys. Here I am sitting at the Los Angeles airport awaiting Flight 2434 from LAX to Dallas, Texas. And then I will have a 2 hr wait in Dallas for my connecting flight to Monterrey, Mexico.

Things have been quite slow since leaving Bangkok. As you read in my previous entry, the flight was long, especially seeing as I didn’t sleep, and the entertainment was quite lame. Once I got to LAX, I caught the hotel shuttle to the hotel, and went for a walk to get something to eat. I went about 200 metres and found a Burger King. That did it.

Once I got back to my room, I had a hot bath, and then slept. I woke up later at night, but didn’t stay awake for long. So I had an awesome sleep in all.

It’s only like 9.15am here on Wednesday 11th. Back in Thailand it’s 11.15pm Wed night, and back in Australia, it is 2.15am on Thursday. Talk about a hell of a time difference.

Anyways, they are calling my flight, so I better go. I’ll type some more later, have fun……

Well, I’m at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. It has to be one of the nicest I’ve seen. Very nice. I’m starting to get tired again though. I know I should be finishing up my presentation ofr my meeting, but I am so buggered. Probably should have done this ages ago.

So I’ve got one flight to go. This one is only like an hour and a half. The shortest of all my trips, even driving from home to the airport the other day (technically only yesterday, but really nearly 2 days ago.

I want to call my parents and say hi, but I don’t have any cash. I also want to check internet, but have no wireless support (free wireless), also I can’t find any internet desks around.

I’m so pissed off my phone doesn’t have any coverage. It’s supposed to have global roaming, but it doesn’t seem to have. It worked in Thailand (obviously), Denmark, France, Italy, Australia and Malaysia. But not here. Damn it, I have so many calls work related I need to make. Also some personal. Not impressed. I’m a Manager and I’m going to have to borrow a phone when I get to Mexico.

As I gt off the plane from LA to here, I walked past the duty free and guess what they’ve got on sale.

Steve Irwin dolls and accessories. My god. I figured in Australia, yes, but here? Why? And the price wasn’t cheap. Around 30 bucks Aussie for a small doll that kinda looks like him.

I’m bored, I’m gonna go check out all the stuff I can’t buy.

Well, I’m finally in Mexico. I’ve caught up with most of the others that have also come for the meeting. Had dinner and some beer. Now I’m off to bed, as I am so bloody tired!!

So, On Saturday I’ll try and put some pics on here. Have fun!!

Cheers………
