My Boys won Again

So Hawthorn won again. Now we are sitting second on the ladder, two games behind Geelong. And we have the kangaroos right up there in third with us.

Suck shit you interstate teams. I wonder how West Coast feel. Of the last 8 games they’ve won only 2 or 3 I think.

I still can’t fathom how the bloody hell Hawks are up there so high. Are we fluking it, or are we really a good team this year? Even more suprising is Geelong. Was lasts year disastrous year for them what they needed to do what they are doing this year? Are they really unstoppable? Of the top 8, we are the only tem they haven’t beat. Last year when they were so destructive early, we were the first to touch them up before they crumbled.

Hopefully that means if we are to meet them in the finals, we will beat them. Hopefully it’s the Grand Final. Shit, if Hawks win the GF, I’ll go freaking nuts over here.

But that’s wishful thinking. I mean, if we loose the next two games, we could slip to tenth on the ladder. It’s that close. But we have some fairly easy teams (I say that knock on wood) over the next 7 weeks that remain. And we still have two games at our fortress, Aurora Stadium. So we could stay in touch with the top two. I’d love to see West Coast lose the next two, just so they slip out of the 8. That’d be two bloody funny.

And Sydney are on the charge. I like that. We have them on the last game of the year, could be game of the round. Although I reckon Spida Everitt must be wondering what’s going on. He jumped ship from the Hawks to the Swans, chasing a premiership. I don’t blame him for that, he’s getting close to retiring, so why not. But shit, I bet he didn’t think we’d be cruising so well, and the Swans so bad. If we do win, and Sydney doesn’t make it, I bet he’ll be kicking him self quite hard. Hee Hee, that’d be just as funny as West Coast slipping out if the 8.

But I suppose, some people have to move on to become better players, or allow 2nd players to step up and become the number one players. Look at Spida when he left Saints to come to Hawks, he became one of the best ruckmen. Tony Lockett, Greg Williams, Barry hall, etc etc. The list goes on.
